City of Melbourne - Drill Hall
Hypervisuals was approached to provide a non-intrusive audio-visual solution in a challenging heritage listed building. The hall can be hired for presentations, workshops and social events and as such the design needed to cater for a wide variety of scenarios and large audiences.
The final design incorporated two 7,000 Lumen Laser projectors with short-throw lens and motorised screen combination. This approach meant that the system was unobtrusive while not in use, maintaining the historical appeal of the building yet very effective during events. The system included in-ceiling sound reinforcement for natural, evenly distributed sound. Multiple wireless handheld and lapel microphones and laptop presentation point. Room operation was simplified by use of an RTI control system with graphical user interface greatly reducing any training that would be required for groups wishing to hire the unique space.
