1. Purpose

Hypervisuals Pty Ltd (“Hypervisuals”) is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and all applicable Australian labour laws.
This policy outlines our approach to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, human trafficking, and any form of exploitation within our operations and supply chains.

 

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, contractors, and representatives of Hypervisuals.
  • All suppliers, agents, subcontractors, and service providers engaged by Hypervisuals.
  • All operations within Australia and any international business relationships.

 

3. Core Commitments

Hypervisuals is committed to:

  • Prohibiting all forms of forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking.
  • Providing a safe, fair, and respectful workplace free from discrimination or coercion.
  • Ensuring fair wages, lawful working hours, and freedom of association.
  • Requiring all suppliers to uphold equivalent standards through transparent ethical practices.

 

4. Prohibition of Forced Labour and Human Trafficking

Hypervisuals strictly prohibits the use of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.
No employee or contractor shall:

  • Engage in, facilitate, or tolerate any form of human trafficking.
  • Retain workers’ identity documents or restrict their movement.
  • Impose financial penalties or coercion to compel continued employment.
    All workers are free to terminate their employment with reasonable notice and without penalty, in accordance with Australian law.

 

5. Prohibition of Child Labour

Hypervisuals prohibits the employment of any person:

  • Under the age of 15, or under the legal minimum working age as defined by Australian law; and
  • Under the age of 18 in hazardous work or in any conditions that may jeopardise their health, safety, education, or moral well-being.

This includes work during night hours, excessive durations, or under coercive circumstances.

 

6. Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity

Hypervisuals upholds a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
No worker or applicant will be treated unfairly based on:

Race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, sex, gender identity, age, disability, political opinion, sexual orientation, marital status, family responsibilities, HIV/AIDS status, or trade union membership.

All employment decisions are based solely on merit, qualifications, and job requirements.

 

7. Recruitment and Employment Practices

Hypervisuals ensures that:

  • No recruitment fees are charged to workers or potential employees.
  • All workers receive a written employment agreement in plain English, clearly stating wages, hours, and conditions before work commences.
  • All agreements are explained in a language understood by the worker, if applicable.
  • All employees’ legal right to work in Australia is verified through documentation checks before employment begins.

 

8. Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

Hypervisuals respects the right of all workers to:

  • Form or join trade unions or associations of their choosing.
  • Bargain collectively.
  • Engage in peaceful assembly, consistent with Australian law.

 

9. Wages, Hours, and Conditions

All employees are paid in accordance with:

  • The Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and applicable Modern Awards.
  • At least the legal minimum wage or prevailing industry rate, whichever is higher.
  • All working hours, breaks, and leave entitlements are in line with Australian labour standards.
    Hypervisuals does not provide or arrange worker housing; therefore, housing standards do not apply to our operations.

 

10. Ethical Conduct and Prohibited Behaviour

All employees, contractors, and agents are prohibited from:

  • Engaging in any commercial sex acts during the course of employment or contract.
  • Soliciting or coercing others into such acts.
    Such conduct is strictly against our ethical code and may result in termination and referral to authorities.

 

11. Supplier Standards and Due Diligence

All suppliers and subcontractors must:

  • Comply with this policy and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
  • Complete a Modern Slavery Risk Assessment prior to onboarding and at least annually thereafter.
  • Demonstrate compliance through questionnaires, declarations, or audits.
  • Ensure their own suppliers and contractors follow equivalent ethical and labour standards.

Failure to comply may result in termination of the supplier relationship.

 

12. Reporting and Remediation

All employees, suppliers, or third parties may confidentially report suspected breaches of this policy to admin@hypervisuals.com.au
